3. Add a child: Create a child profile with their grade level and interests (no email needed for children!)

No! Children don't need email addresses. When you create a child profile, you simply choose a username and password they can remember (like "bobby2024"). They can then log in with these credentials on any device - the same device you use, or their own device. You can switch between parent and child accounts on the same device whenever needed.

• Time rewards - Screen time, playtime, etc. (e.g., 5 minutes per correct answer)
• Money rewards - Real money or allowance (e.g., $0.50 per correct answer)
• Both - Combine time and money rewards

Children accumulate rewards while learning, and parents redeem them when ready.

Parents control redemption from the dashboard. View your child's accumulated rewards and mark them as redeemed when you give them the time or money. The system tracks redemption history so you always know what's been given.

Money Buckets is an optional financial literacy feature that teaches kids money management skills while they earn. When enabled, earned money is automatically split into three buckets:

• 💰 Spend - Money for immediate wants
• 🏦 Save - Money for future goals (with optional interest payments!)
• ❤️ Give - Money for charity or helping others

Parent Controls:

• Set allocation percentages (e.g., 60% Spend, 30% Save, 10% Give)
• Configure interest rate and payment frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) for savings
• Optionally allow kids to adjust their Spend/Save split

Child Benefits: Kids can see their buckets, watch savings grow with interest, and transfer money between Spend and Save buckets. It's a hands-on way to learn budgeting, delayed gratification, and the power of compound interest!

The "Login as" button on your parent dashboard lets you quickly switch to your child's account to hand them the device. When you click it, you'll be logged out from your parent account and logged in as the child - perfect for when kids want to use the same device. You can always log back in as a parent when they're done. Kids can also log in on their own device using their username and password.

Yes! After creating your first child, a guided tour shows you all the key features: managing topics, tracking progress, configuring rewards, and more. You can always restart the tour by clicking the "📚 Take the Tour" button on your dashboard.

Yes! You can invite co-parents (spouse, partner, grandparent, etc.) to join your family. They get full access to all children and share the same credit pool. Perfect for divorced parents or multi-generational households.

Yes! Pathlet works on any device with a web browser - phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. It's also a Progressive Web App (PWA), so you can install it on your home screen for quick access.

Yes! Parents can request custom topics directly from the parent dashboard. We'll create and add your requested topic within 24-48 hours. You can also enable/disable topics per child and add custom notes to guide the AI's teaching approach for each topic.
